Shawn Brock -> Mammoth ivory saddles? (Oct. 26 2011 6:47:56)

Do any of you luthiers have any experience with Mammoth ivory nuts and saddles? I have seen some conversions on steel string guitars, replacing bone with Mammoth ivory, and just was wondering about the affects it may have on flamenco guitars. In theory it seems good, but that's just it, a theory... The differences I have seen on steel string guitars is an increase in volume and brightness. I know a few of the luthier supply companies sell Mammoth ivory, and though I'm not a luthier, I thought of ordering a saddle and trying it out. Before I do I just wanted to see if it would be a waste of time and thought you guys may have some thoughts.

Thanks,
Shawn
