Hi all,

I'd like to ask what make of dehumidifier forum members have in their shops.
To narrow things down, I'd be looking at models available in North America.

I figure since humidity is a concern for serious guitar makers, there would be some pretty informed choices. I also figured there'd also be some makes/models to steer clear of.

I can't give you much help on your choices as im in the uk. I reccomend getting one with a humistat on. I have been using one for a couple of years now and its great not having to remember to turn it off and on all the time

Mine is a DeLonghi with a humistat and it throws the water directly outside my workshop, so its 100% automatic.

Get one where you can disamble it pretty easily. All the dust ends up in the radiator of the thing and then they stop working well

I fist thought that you guys are talking about dehumidifers for guitar case!

I bought a DD122FW-MK4 and I must admit it is the most amazing gadget I have ever owned.
Whenever I empty the bucket I can't believe how much water it catches from the air! Highly recommended:)

Anders is giving you good advice. I've had several different kinds. None of them lasted more than 3-4 years. They are all noisy but seem to work well until they start freezing up. The size is dependent on how big and how tight your shop is.
