Cat Nap -> Trying to find the right Flamenco (Oct. 4 2011 22:00:39)

Hi,

I have a Cordoba GK (650 x 50) and looking for a Flamenco model in the $2,000 range, and I don't want another cutaway, but I do want something just as comfortable to play. I'm trying to find a Flamenco with a 650/640 scale, 50 nut width because anything larger kills my wrists. Suggestions?

Laura

Hi Laura,

what ever from cordoba defently is no a proper flamenco guitar,

I will sugest hermanos sanchis in your price range, but you dont want 660 scale,

and 50 nut width!!! not really familiar with, never saw it in flamenco guitar,

Valeriano bernal are good as well:

the Gitano Modle and Mastero is in your range:

I think Andy the luthier here in the foro making a proper flamenco guitar, he may customize it for you,

Try Andy Culpepper...

i have an andy culpepper and i love it. review here:

he can customize it for you although i don't recommend changing the nut width. it might be the shape or thickness of the neck or your technique that is making your wrist hurt.

Ricardo -> RE: Trying to find the right Flamenco (Oct. 5 2011 21:46:13)

Used Ricardo Sanchis or Hermanos Sanchis Lopez.

Thanks for the info - yes, I do know that the Cordoba is no Flamenco but it's what I could do on a budget. I'm saving up for a better instrument to get the real deal...thank you both for the feedback. I'll look into your suggestions.

Sometimes a classical guitar could be flamenco... Ask Ramzi... [;)]

hi
I once tried an amalio burguet and found the neck much easier to play than the Sanchis one; from the sound I preferred the Sanchis however.
