Paul Magnussen -> RE: Guitar ID: Paco Pena - Flamenco (1971) (Aug. 12 2011 15:46:59) Judging not from the picture but from memory: in 1971 that would be his Reyes. That CD is taken from his first two flamenco albums (The Incredible Paco Peña and Flamenco. Carnival came in between, with Los Maracuchos). He played it for several years, until it needed to be refretted. When it came back, in his own words, “it wasn’t the same guitar”. That may have been the point when he switched to Gerundino, but I’m not sure.
