Arpegiate an open chord like G or E that uses all 6 strings, by alternating rest strokes, start on low E with i and "walk" up and down the strings, one note per string. It is really hard so go slow at first, and build speed gradually. When you can do it , then try repeating each note, i-m, then switch strings, i-m, etc after all 6 strings change to m-i for each.
