Pimientito -> Fires of San Juan (Jun. 23 2011 12:01:13) Tonight is the festival of San Juan where the Spanish population light bonfires on the beaches and jump over them at midnight after skinny dipping in the sea. They also used to wash goats in the water too. Midnight bathing and fire jumping are symbols of purification. The whole night is essentially a mid summer solstice celebration. Here is the lovely Nina Pastori singing for San juan. Disfruta!!!!!
