Hey guys,
I recently upgraded to an Andy Culpepper so I won't be needing my Navarro anymore. This is his concert model guitar. I am selling it for $1000. These are listed on his site for $1800.
http://www.francisconavarro.com/concertflamenco.html

Standard spruce top, cypress back and sides, cedar neck with ebony reinforcement, ebony fingerboard, machine tuners, bone nut and saddle.

52 nut, 650 scale, 3.2 mm at 12th fret on the bass side (with high tension strings.) Plenty of bone left to bring it down more if you want.

Comes with a lightweight hard foam case.

Here are some video examples. Some of them, I don't have a thumbnail or eq'ed badly because i forgot the mic has a bass roll off...

Hey Anthony,

do you think you could at some point put the specifications such as action at 12th fret. Most of the others I think can be found on the Navarro website (assuming it's the same for all the models and there's been no changes) but I figure maybe you had it set up differently or something so the string height may have changed (I don't know if this can happen by itself on a classical or flamenco, I know it happened to me on electrics).

By the way great playing. You should really keep those vids on your channel they're great!

Cheers

N

Hey Anthony,

R u playing the bulerias left-handed or am I confused? Is this a right-handed guitar?

D.

at_leo_87 -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 23 2011 15:45:37)

hey guys,
the action is 3.2 mm on the bass side and a little less on the treble side. this is with high tension d'addario composites. so it'd be lower with normal tension. plenty of space and bone on the saddle if you need to lower it with plenty of break angle left over. pics coming soon!

the guitar is indeed right handed. [:D] the video program i used just mirrored it.

i forgot to mention it comes with a lightweight hard foam case.

Spruce top
Cypress back and sides

There's a chip on the left side of the bottom bout. I'm not sure how it got there but it hasn't changed since I first noticed it.

Damn,

And I thought you were selling a unisex guitar, the first of its kind.

Bridge. Plenty of bone left if you want to take the action down further. As you can see, the holes where the strings go in are really low, so you'll always get a good break angle.

Rosette. You can see there's a little chip there.

There's some scratches on the treble side of the bridge.

And some golpe marks on the bass side. It was hard to get a picture of this as it only shows up under certain light conditions.

And here's the case. It's a bit scruffy with some superglue marks here and there (nail fixes at gigs.) There's two shoulder straps so you can wear it like a backpack, two zippered front pockets, and a storage compartment under the neck.

thanks rtc, I hope so!

paul.troutfisher -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 28 2011 3:51:27)

Well, I'm the new owner.

Can't hold a candle to Anthony's playing ability, but I'll take good care of her :)

at_leo_87 -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 28 2011 19:18:10)

I just shipped her off! It was a bit sad but the last chord I played was a emaj9 so she should be in a good mood when she gets there. Plus I bet she'll love the air in Cali. I think that's where the cypress came from.

RTC -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 29 2011 1:37:42)

Paul:
Where do you usually fish, I assume fly rod?
I am going to Taos to fish Valle Vidal, Cimarron and maybe the Rio Grande. depending on water flows and clarity.

I hope you enjoy your new guitar!

paul.troutfisher -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 30 2011 14:50:44)

Yep, fly fishing is where it's at:)

I fish most of Northen CA (when I can). Been to several other western states on occasion. Fortunately, I'm only about 2.5 hours from the Sierra Nevada Mountains and can get into some nice mountain streams for a day trips. However, most of the "good stuff" up north is a weekend thing and don't get there often.

Sounds like a great trip to the Taos. I'd guess water flows should be better there - the South West is in more of a drought. We, on the other hand, in CA are knee deep in water. The rivers are still ripping and you still can't fish. It's going to be a very short season.

RTC -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jun. 30 2011 23:53:45)

Glad to hear. My two passions are Fly Fishing and Flamenco. I fished Trukee up at Tahoe a couple of times. I will always remember a quote "Trout do not live in ugly places"
You got a nice guitar, enjoy

Alonte -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 2 2011 2:38:54)

Woah! Man oh man I saw this ad too late! I want that guitar ughhh ok im not bitter. Congrats to whoever got this guitar!!!

paul.troutfisher -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 6 2011 2:04:10)

never fished the truckee - heard the little truckee was beautiful.

do you live in CA?

I just got the guitar - it's wonderful.

paul.troutfisher -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 6 2011 2:08:03)

Well the Francisco Navarro found it's new home without incident. It's quite the step up from my 171SF. I love it!

Wow - it's really loud, and has a great growl. I have a nice set of Der Jung tuners that I'll put on it - as the those that came with it are not the best.

very happy with my purchase - thanks Anthony :)

at_leo_87 -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 6 2011 13:30:57)

Hey Paul, i'm glad you like it!

try to keep your fly fishing and flamenco separate though. [:D]

paul.troutfisher -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 13 2011 22:50:14)

Here's a picture of the Der Jung tuners. I really think the black looks very classy. I'd also think silver tuners would look good.

Man, I can't get over how much my playing has improved on this guitar. It's just so darn easy to play - and sounds great too.

I agree with your assessment of Luthier strings. Looking forward to wearing them out and putting on the D'addorias.

at_leo_87 -> RE: Francisco Navarro Concert Model (Jul. 15 2011 2:15:34)

wow, that does look snazzy! it looks like a different guitar!

i'm really glad you're enjoying it! i remember feeling the same way about the playability when i first got it. the right hand felt like it didn't have to work so hard to get a good sound.

btw, you dont need so many string wraps around the peg. just pull the string all the way through when you wind up. you'll get rock solid, stable tuning. [;)]
