I recorded my self for the first time last night. I thought I was better than what I heard. I will keep practicing, now I know why my family walks around with noise cancelling headphones. What the heck I still love it.

I like to see it as a gift. After I hear a bad recording, I know exactly what I need to work on! Then I make a good recording then listen to it a few weeks later and hate it. Ah, progress! :D

I agree with anthony 100% about hating the recording after few weeks
I just sometimes say " man that's not me playing over there "

Hey RTC - I know how you feel. I've been there a few times myself. At_leo_87 (I don't know names yet) makes a good point about seeing it as a gift. In order to progress we have to have the ability to recognize when there is need for improvement. Imagine if we heard a not-so-good recording or ourselves and thought "Wow, that's great, I should really practice less".

Don't beat yourself up, identify some ares to work on and then in a few weeks make another recording. It doesn't have to be perfect, just better than the 1st one.

Also, if you're like me, then you're probably being too hard on yourself.
Hans

It's Captain McBoogerface. No joke. His parents had a bit of a sense of humor, poor guy...

Even the greatest players in the world go through this.

So dont worry. Its par for the course. It just makes you work harder, and
thats a good thing.
