Anyone here tried it as well?
Strings in australia is super expensive, (Ej45 cost 25 bucks and composite 45s cost about 48 bucks) so I bought some composite sets from stringbymail, on a whim I decided to get some d'addario normal tension titanium trembles as well because it's not available here in australia. It arrived today and I like it very much,
tonally it's sounds more like the composite G string, if you compare the composite G and the normal nylons which in contrast sounds slightly flatter.

try it out you guys in the US.. it's pretty cheap for a set of trebles too.

cheers

Hey Holy,

This guy in Queensland is selling them pretty cheap. I haven't purchased any from him yet though.

Yes, I find them quite bright and rather metallic sounding, which can be very good if you put them on a dull guitar (and for a flamenco beginner who's using an old classical, they could be helpful). But on a brighter guitar they can be a bit too much. Worth experimenting with, though.

I tried them, sounded good when I first put them on, I guess they were a little stretchier at first once they broke in they were too harsh.

i tried them out awhile ago and actually thought they sounded quite dull. maybe i didn't break them in well enough before i gave up on them.

Thanks Kris for the tip. I usually get mine for about 12 bucks posted from a brick n motar shop based in melb.

Wow fake strings, I'll try to make sure that I'll get from a shop in the future..

This is exactly what happened to me. It was nice to hear a sound that was truly different, as most strings don't affect sound so much as feel. But after 2 weeks or so I found these strings lack musicality and sweetness.
