For that price range, you may want to check out Casa Montalvo guitars at the Berkeley Musical Instrument Exchange:

http://www.berkeleymusic.com/

They have a couple of flamenco models under $1,000. I've played them in their store. They're nice guitars for the price. But you do get what you pay for (for instance, the blanca model has a rosewood fretboard instead of ebony).

I THINK they may have more models than listed on their website. I seem to recall playing a non cutaway negra that was around 1200, and I don't see that on their website. So you may want to ask for more information.

Plus they had a 10% off deal that ended yesterday, but maybe if you asked nicely they'll still give it to you [:)]

None of them. I would prefer a Bernal. But if you prefer one of these three i'm with Navarro.

Thanks a lot ! but I would like to know more about Navarro and Tomatito's guitars ! If anyone has that guitar or has played it please tell me about it more ! Especially I am very interested in Navarro's Student 1 because I think That Tomatito guitars are factorial ! Now i have a Yamaha CG171SF! It is not a bad guitar but it is only for beginners and I am going to sell it [sm=rolleyes.gif]

Hey Guitarproject, I have a Navarro student guitar, and it is a pretty good guitar actually.

I mean, it is far from the best guitar in the world, but it sounds well and plays well, and for the price wich is around 1000$ and I think it is worth it.
