I've seen this pull-off quaver bass more often with arpeggio.. but that's perhaps because I've avoided tremolo-pieces. I need to try this when I have my guitar at hand.

Do you have example falsetas with this technique? I'm curious if it is typically played like an evenly spaced quintuplet on top or with the characteristic pause between p and iami..

If I'm not mistaken this is from Paco Peña's Santuario, no?

I too struggled with the ligado at first. I found the best way to approach it is to play the tremolo, ignoring the ligado, until it sounds even and can be performed without excessive levels of concentration. After this adding the ligado is less challenging, as it is now simply a case of adding two hammer-ons with the left hand; the motion and timing of the right hand is unaffected by these additional notes.

I hope this has helped some [:)]

When you have a triplet ascending slur in the bass against a tremolo, the best way to practice it is to just play the first note of the triplet along with the tremolo in the treble. That way you keep an even rhythm. Once you have the passage down pat that way, you will find that adding the two ascending bass slurs will come very easily.

EDIT - I just noticed the post above mine basically says the same thing in different words, so that's probably your best approach.

Great minds think alike, eh? [;)]
