Estevan -> "Photographer of the Gitanos" (May 29 2011 2:26:33) There's an article in El País about a French photographer, Jacques Léonard (París, 1909-L'Escala, 1995) who married Carmen Amaya's cousin and settled in Barcelona in 1950. He made a living doing the usual wedding photographs etc., and on the weekends documented the life of the local gitanos. There's a documentary about him, and an exhibition of his work. Here are some of the photos.
