kozz -> One two three four, and number five in a half a year (May 1 2011 22:47:57)

A few days ago I'd asked Anders if he would like to built me a blanca peghead...and he is [:)]

Some details still in discussion, but it's gonna be a fine addition to my collection.
I am really looking forward to it.

Congratulations Kozz!

You can't loose on this one. I'm so happy with my 'Anders'! I had to struggle to scrape up the money at the time, took me a long time (I was very poor), but I sure got HUGE value for every single pennie (krona) ! It has to be one of the best ways I've spent money, period. We're lucky to have these fine luthiers around. These things make life truly rich.

Right now I'm looking for someone to build me a baroque guitar :-)

kozz -> RE: One two three four, and number five in a half a year (May 3 2011 8:04:26)

It had been a long time anyway since I got a new guitar [:D]

gbv1158 -> RE: One two three four, and number five in a half a year (May 3 2011 21:01:24)

congrats Kozz....
yesterday I had a special permission to play for one hour, with my Anders blanca in a small church of the XVI century, in my town. (I worked on the last restoration and I discovered this church to have a perfect acustical environment - with no amplification and no people -) .... it was as to be in paradise!

and you know what the parson (He is a friend of mine) told me?

" ok .... you certainly still need to practice ....... but who ever built this guitar was inspired by God"
- true!

ciao
Giambattista

Yes off course a soundport, no inlay, but some kind off binding around it.

It'll be Canadian cypress with German spruce.
Pegs with old headstock design.
650 / 53
12 hole bridge
White finishing

...and above all, muy flamenco!

You are going to love his peghead blanca. A nice, dry but crisp, response when played in and not too shabby even when it isn't [;)]

Hi Kozz,
Geert here, also from the Netherlands. Would prefer writing Dutch, but will try in English.
You won't believe it, but I too managed to get on Anders' waiting list. A dream come true!!!
Only a few months ago I (re)'discovered' flamenco guitar at the Frankfurter Musikmesse in april. I bought a used one and started to learn myself flamenco guitar with the help of online lessons.
I found lots of information on the internet, I found this forum, and then....I found Anders Eliasson. Few weeks later I received his video El Guitarrero, and after watching it I knew what I wanted.....a Anders Eliasson guitar.
I contacted him, and after some emails he put me on his february building list.
So I guess our guitars will be sisters...haha
And now the best of all...please sit down.
In october I go to the south of Portugal for a holiday. From there it is only a few hours drive with my rental car to Anders, who invited me to visit his workshop.
I guess your guitar no. 90 will be in its final stage, so I will see it be before you do. I really am looking forward to this visit, a dream come true!
How do you get your new guitar to the Netherlands? I need some advice for when my guitar is finished. What is best to receive the guitar in one piece?
By the way, I sold one of my steelstring guitars to be able to buy an Anders guitar and am gonna sell that used (but in excellent condition) flamenco guitar I am playing now.
Best wishes to you all,
Geert.
