The big black bull silhouette advertising Osborne wines is a familiar sight all over Spain and has become a national symbol for many people.

It's also a target for various unofficial paintjobs, like this fetching number done by some jokers recently on the only such bull on the island of Mallorca:

L'únic toro d'Osborne de Mallorca, repintat amb la bandera gai

A gay toro?

Doit will like this ancient figure carved into the chalk based rock of Dorset in England.

You need to be a couple of thousand feet above it before you can see the picture....so God knows why the ancients went to the trouble of making it...unless they were perhaps giving two fingers to various aliens in flying saucers..[:D]

I kind of like it better that way. I wish they would paint one with lunares like a flamenco dress.

In Larkspur about 15 miles north or me there is this corten steel sculpture of Sir Francis Drake, he once explored California's coast. I've always thought it would be nice to either hang a giant rubber penis made of truck inner tubes from his front or use inner tubes to make a pair of assless riding chaps for this explorer cowboy.

Muy flamenco, no? [;)]

Seems quite a number of the locals do too. Apparently this particular toro is a bit of a battleground between the catalanistas who use it to poke fun, and the local reactionary espanyolista organization that blows a gasket about the threat to their freedoms and way of life, then organizes a painting party to paint this symbol of thier cultural heritage black again.
All very silly, and quite amusing.

From the look of the statue, I'd say it was designed with just that in mind. Go for it.
