No better way to start a thread than on the subject of G strings (IMHO), but sadly, I'm asking about nylon G strings.

Oh wait..that still didn't clarify.

Seriously though... I'm using Luthier Concert Silver Hard tension 50 strings lately, and about 3 out of every 4 sets, I'm getting a G string that looks twisted when I put it on.

It looks as if I tied it to the bridge and intentionally twisted it before wrapped it on the roller. But I put it on just like every string I've every put on and have never seen this. When I feel the string, it feels as if the material is warped, or the plastic extruded inconsistently.

Has anyone else experienced this?
And is this intentional, or is this a bad string?
I'm starting to find that in addition to this oddity, Luthier trebles break down pretty quickly. After a couple weeks, I can gently rub the string on the area where I pluck and the string feels scratchy and a bit beat up.

Do Luthier trebles just suck?
