Hey everyone, I am looking to purchase some tabs online and I was looking for some recommendations. I am really digging Solea and Bulerias right now, so I am looking for recommendations on intermediate pieces that I can work through.
I am at the point where Paco de Lucia, vincete amigo, etc is still way to hard to get under my fingers, and beginner stuff just bores the hell out of me when it come's to looking for something to work through.
I have Paco Pena's santuario under my fingers with the ticker, that was a really fun piece to learn. So I am looking for something that is a little bit more challenging then that, but only a touch more difficult.
I am thinking of purchasing Ricardo's solea that he plays here but I think it might be to difficult, but nevertheless I think it will be worth the purchase. So if you think of any piece that you think will be worth my while to learn post it here, it doesn't have to be a solea or bulerias but that's what I am loving right now.

I'm a huge fan of Ricardo's soleá and have picked up a few falsetas from it. There are some very nice ones that you might find challenging, but are definitely playable. It should give you a lot of good ideas (both falsetas and for things to do with the compás) that will keep you busy for a while. And I love the chords at the end (which would be a good way to practice different strumming patterns).

Paco de lucia and Vincente amigo are expressing thier very spirit as they play . Only masters of technique can imitate them . I to am learning solea , I am looking at the typical rhythmic structure and chord progressions of the palo . I would love a recipe not unsimilar to what jason mc guire wrote out for a minera , anyone ?

I had an idea of getting a few intermediate/advanced players to contribute a chunk of compas or a short easy falseta, compile them together to make a longer piece and use that piece as the material for the next beginners challenge. but it seems like the beginners challenge has already started and picking up good momentum.
but we can still just open a thread and toss in a bunch of easy, basic solea stuff for people to grab and learn.

How about getting either the Moraito or Chicuelo Encuentro vids? They both offer a breadth of styles (well the Chicuelo one a bit more so), the material is challenging but not maddeningly difficult, and it's broken up nicely for you to repurpose and combine with other stuff.

Just purchased the solea tab, hopefully he will send it before 6:00 so I can bring it to my lesson and work through it with my teacher.
Still open to suggestions so post away!

If you have a teacher, why not just ask him to teach you some intermediate soleá falsetas?

We have been going on and off with Solea falsetas for a few weeks. But our priority right now is working on my compas and ryhthm for a variety of palos so I can start to accompany dancers.
I only have one lesson for an hour per week so as of right now our time is dedicated to that, and once I have a really good grasp on compas and rhythm for a large variety of palos then I will start using my lesson time for falsetas.
This is just one of those days where I want to add to my falseta library instead of doing accompaniment practice

Browse his channel. He has tons of solea falsetas, I'm sure you're gonna find something interesting. He made various takes of same falsetas, some of them have a better angle or are slow down and you could catch'em up "easily"...
