Call me crazy, but the winner of my visit to guitar center today was a Cordoba C7 with a cedar top. I think it was around 500 bucks, and would make a nice negra for solo playing. In my opinion it seemed to be the best bang for the buck at the store. I think if I were looking for a cheap flamenco I would buy this one and lower the action a bit at the sound board. Even with the factory setup it was super easy and fun to play and had very bright trebles, rich bass, and rasgueado wasnt too mudy and had reasonable attack. It was a brick, but hey, it sounded decent in my opinion. To each his own.

My first flamenco was a Cordoba I picked it up from a guy that played it only a few times. He was determined to learn flamenco, then he found out quickly that he needed to dedicate more time and effort than he was willing to spend. So he put his guitar for sale.

I contacted him after he put and add on the paper, I called him and bought the Cordoba. Great guitar for me at the time, looked good, sounded amazing to me at the time, and the price was right.

I still have the Cordoba today, and is my outside guitar around the pool, or campfire.

I do not regreat buyig it, and it was a great first flamenco guitar for me.
