Jeff, I dont know. What I can get here in Spain and what I used to make a test with (succesfull) is called Tapaporos and means porefilling. Its based on nitro. Thats what some other builders use before French polishing, they even color with it.

This with the schrinking also happens when using FP and pumice. It takes round half a year or even more.
I would never use epoxy. I know the thing from boats and I know how truoblesome it can be. On boats you can at least wash it with a heavy soaped water, but i wont do that on my guitars.

I looked it up it appears to be what we would call sanding sealer, made by adding zinc stearate to nitro as a filler and to make it sand easier.
All I can say is that here, using it to fill pores in rosewood would not be considered best practice. If it is used at all it is over a high solids paste filler.
