gerundino63 -> Rondena tuning (Mar. 16 2005 20:18:01)

Hola Ninos Y ninas

I am busy right now with Doblan Campanas, a Rondena from PDL.
I find the tuning very interesting,so,Does any of you know an other one with the same tuning?
( I mean another than a Rondena)
Thanks for any suggestions!

Peter.

Nino Miguel and Manolo sanlucar both have excellent bulerias in this tunning. Nunez does too, and also a nice medley of style using Rondena tuning called "Hacia Mi" w/ Cigala singing. Nunez also has a modern Farruca and Solea on his new CD in that tuning. The solea is unique in that it uses the tuning but a different tonality, D phrygian instead of C#.

Thanks Ricardo!

I will look for that songs, ( while the guitar is in that tuning, I might as well learn two songs in that tuning)

Hi Dylan

The Rondena tuning is this way:

The low E string (6) goes to D
The G string ( 3) goes to F#

Here you find some more info about flamenco tuning.

Good luck!
