Besides, you know that a really good guitar can easily cost $3k-$4k. I'm not ready for one of those yet. [:)]

Congrats Rumbaking!

I went though periods of working 3 jobs and eating only baked beans and loaf in order to accumulate the gear I have now... but I don't regret it at all... good gear, although not cheap, is much more rewarding. It will keep you playing and it will make you improve... in my experience, a good mic into a good preamp/amp translates every little nuances of your playing so playing with a good PA system is the best way to get your technique on another level.

Congrats again... and post some video clips if you can!
