The problem with doors is that they are usually hollow inside, so that doesn't work. Years ago when I did an act with dancers I constructed a makeshift dance floor out of masonite. It's thin and lightweight, so it's easy to transport. The shiny side is hard and takes taconeo without any problem. We used four 4x4 pieces to make an eight by eight floor. We rigged up fan bracing underneath (Torres) (just kidding – it was a wood frame with cross bracing) across the seams to hold it together, and it could be put together and taken apart fairly easily. I had a station wagon at the time, so I don't know if this would fit in the trunk of a car, but it might fit in the back seat. Ramon
