Hey guys.. are there any chords/ chord voicing that we can substitute the traditional F C F E(remate) progression?
so instead of the

any books out there can tell us which chords can be substituted with which chords?

cheers

there should be about 5 voicings to play an F or C on the guitar. Question is why do you want to replace this? It is a trademark chord sequence for solea, even modern compositions have this (a bit altered in the rasgeado maybe).

How to replace chords.. well there are major/minor parallel chords, diminished chords, tritone-substitutions... and maybe some more that dont come to my mind that you can interchange among them.

because it would give it a different sound/feel while not losing the solea aire.. I think that's the main reason why I want to have different way of playing the compas without just changing the way the rasg is played..

cheers

I like

0-----0-----0-----0
1-----1-----0-----0
4-----0-----2-----1
3-----4-----3-----3
0-----3-----3-----2
x-----x-----1-----0

But it's really all about how you play it

--1-----1------3-----0-----0---
--0-----2------2-----2-----1-----
--2-----0------0-----1-----2---
--0-----0------0-----0-----2----
---------2------1----1------0-------

Take out the Dm chord to keep it in 3s if you need.

so for the 1 2 3, I'll use the Am6, then 4 5 6 i'll use the D7, 7 8 would be Dm, 9 would be Faug6#11 then the remate?
is that how you would use it?

quote:

A sub for the same progression for escobilla in 6s(2s)
Am9-Gm9-Baug6-CM7 for first 2 compases
then:

-7-----3-----3-(1)---0-----------------
-5-----1-----3--------0----
-5-----1-----1--------0----
-5-----1-----3--------2-----
-7-----3-----1--------3----
-5-----1---------------------

-0----0-----0------0----------------
-1----3-----1------0
-2----4-----2------1
-0----5-----3------2
-0---------------
-2-----------------

I'll try this.

cheers
