Kalo -> Microsoft LifeCam Cinema (Jan. 31 2011 5:48:44)

Hi All,

I recorded myself playing Buleria, on my Microsoft LifeCam that I purchased yesterday for $75.00 and well I don't know if I like the quality.

How can I explain it, after recording a small compas when I play back my hands don't look as clear.

Do most on this forum record with a webcam. I would like to take on line lessons private and I am just wondering if this is going to happen when playing in real time.

When playing in real time it still isn't clear. I mean it's not bad, but...

Any adivse would be appreciated.

I hope to load my vid up so you all can see what I am talking about.

Thanks

Kalo

usually the quality of recording videos decreases in most web-cams
for example i have a web-cam that capture photos with a quality of 5 mega pixels but the quality decreases to 1.5 mega pixels when recoding videos.

I say why don't u just post your video so we all see it and give u feedback .

i have this camera...its ok...not bad...way better than what i had before...its a good camera as far as webcams go and for the money...this was a quick test i did when i got it..i was sitting quite far from it...so i could go in closer and clearer...the autofocus thing annoys me a little

Ole Pussy cat .......

A Guajira ok , seems ok vid wise , I dont have a really good webcam so I do notice that there is a delay,(sound and picture) which is annoying , although software can compensate a bit ,,
or is it that I just play too fast for technology to detect !! no, it's probably the the webcam..
if I put up vids now I just set up the normal Kodak digital then upload ..
not sure how to compensate for slow webcams in real time ..........

The main problem that effect any video camera is the amount of light.

Make sure you have some lamps pointing at you when you record yourself. The less light you have the worse the quality becomes. It gets kind of exaggerated with cheaper cams so they look really naff.

The frames per second is also an issue. The more the merrier.

Your camera might not be too bad. Try again with lots more light.

i hate my face on videos, then i have to worry about my face expressions... and this cam has the perfect solution for me...many silly masks and effects [;)]

Ah, no, Florian you looked GOOD! Maybe I should try the effect type mask stuff they have, LOL! By the way I hate the expression on my face as well. I was seriously thinking of just show my guitar, and hands, [:)]

I hope to redue my Buleria and have something posted soon!!

Thanks,

Kalo
