kozz -> Flamenco Biennale 2011 Amsterdam video (Jan. 28 2011 20:15:33)

Had a great night yesterday evening with the Terremoto tribute....
Here's a short movie I shot with Joaquin Grilo.
I've got more but is taking a while to upload

Seems you had a good time. Nice shoot.
I really enjoy J. Grillo nonchalant way of dancing...dislocated [:)]

At last a dancer who doesn't take himself so seriously.

Thanks kozz. Enjoyed that immensely.

Thanks guys,
he's quite a character indeed.

Yesterday took the workshop palmas for "beginners" and met Ed and Annemarie.
Very nice to have met you two.

Now its time to reconsider my compas again, it was a very usefull workshop, and very fun with El Bobote.
Some small footage will follow soon.

As promised...no energy to cut it up nicely and add some palmas and pie comments, maybe later
Have fun...

Ed is playing in the upper left corner [;)]

(palos: solea / sequiriya / tango / buleria / fandango)

Yeah doing palmas is very usefull. If you pratice seriously what you learned there, you'll improved very much in the understanding and feeling of the Arte.

I wonder what the dance accomp experts on the foro think about this. Diego is mainly playing solo here. Dancer dances above his falsetas. Is this impro? If so, how does the dancer know the length of the falsetas and remates?

Yeah, it was a great workshop, Remco is the guy behind the camera [:D]
I believe the "bored" guy is Bobote's son/relative (or "desciple" ---> he was doing palmas with El Torta & Diego Morao in the Saturday night show).

Thanks for the vids !
