....make or arrange a flamenco hierarchy (like a family tree) from the old masters to the transition of modern? That would be beneficial for all of us. It's sometimes so hard to keep track of all the great artists now. And it would be even harder in the future. These family trees are nice to watch but nowadays outdated since flamenco got too divers. Where do you put all the artists who dont come from a "hyped" flamenco family? Are they waste? See the flamenco as a whole.

Guitarists from families outside the flamenco circles are not waste. But having some family trees could be interesting if one studies the styles of these guitarists. It's also interesting to get a picture of how things have developed over the years.

Off top of my head: Planeta (singer and guitarist) Patiño-Juan Breva (singer and guitar)-Paco de lucena Ramon Montoya-Javier Molina-Miguel Borrull-Manolo de Huelva-Juan "Habichuela" Gandula Melchor de Marchena-Niño Ricardo-Sabicas-Diego del Gastor-/Pepe martinez-Esteban de sanlucar-Mario Escudero-Juan Serrano-Carlos Montoya etc (solo guitarists mainly working outside of spain, actually Sabicas too but he is more important influence) Manuel Morao-Parrilla de jerez-Ramon de Algeciras-Juan and Pepe Habichuela Paco Cepero-Paco de lucia-Manolo Sanlucar-Serranito-Niño Miguel-Pedro Bacan-Paco Peña Tomatito-Moraito-Gerardo Nuñez-Rafael Riqueni-Manolo Franco-Niño de Pura Vicente Amigo-Chicuelo-Diego del Morao-Viejin-Jesus de Rosario and the rest of Caño Roto guys.....Jeronimo Maya....so many good ones from this new generation...Antonio Rey..... Interesting to note some things too such as Javier Molina is the first of Jerez school Rafael Aguila was the teacher of this style to Manuel Morao, Parrilla, Cepero, even Nuñez. So you can do a jerez line and other lines between generations like Molina-Morao-Moraito-diego del morao....etc. Ricardo
