Does anyone know anything about Rodrigo, perpetrator of Gypsy Passions?

The booklet notes contain the usual guff about his having been 'billed with the greatest Spanish contemporaries in Festivales de Cante Grande', but I'd never heard of him until I came across the album while doing a search on 'Flamenco' in the index of my local library.

He certainly ain't no Sabicas, but he can be quite imaginative; as witness this nice introduction to his soleares before he goes out of compás (see transcription).

if it is the same guy im thinking of, ive only heard tiny bits of his music. years ago my friend showed me him, I cant remember what song it is, but i think he did a cover of a rock song that was kind of a hit
