Here's Diego completely solo. He don't need no cajon! [:D]

His playing here is pretty clear and melodic with touches of jerez flavor. Not getting much of that on his CD. It kind of drones along with repetative arp fade outs. Only touches of familiar falsetas from his work with singers, and his touch is not so much "in your face" like his playing here. At least that is my impression of his recording only listening a few times. The duet with Paco he does, I still can't find paco in there. [:D]

Good question. I think that just solo guitar tends to get boring, not to mention that there are so many options around to listen to already.

I prefer anything with cante, but I don't like anything orchestra like or too light and fluffy. But if I want some good solo guitar and an old school feel I just go back to Sabicas, Paco Peña, early PDL, etc.

Yup me too. I could listen to solo compas tracks over and over even though there is no guitar.

Cante, old school gitano-"jerez"-bulerias, Sabicas, Paco Peña, Early PDL too.

I didn't recognize him in there either[:D] There is a bit of a cositas buenas feel in one of the falsetas. That bulerias has quite a traditional feel. The outro falseta is pretty funky though.
