This band is composed by members of Martires del Compas,Sevillanos all...

to be continued more information:

With a pinch out of the wild and a few flamenco schemes, “Cuando me tiras de
la lengua…” (When you make me talk…) is Pellizco’s first release.

In keeping with its unique understanding of flamenco, and renewed but faithful to
a special way of mixing it with other styles of music, Pellizco sounds like the
rhythmic beat of a Harley, smells of wood and metal, feels like the texture of the
old vinyl records… tastes of coffee and olive-oil soaked toast.

Pellizco’s songs, with their down-to-earth and intimate lyrics, jolly but full of
meaning, work like a vitamin that suddenly fills your soul with furious power and
pain.

Pellizco blends classic flamenco songs like soleares, bulerías, guajiras and
tanguillos with intimate sensations and a vibrant rock and roll background that
transports us to the most progressive and forward-looking musical landscapes.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pellizco is the offspring of the creative musicians and composers of the
renowned Sevilla band Mártires del Compás and María José “LUNA”, a voice
that fills the stage with the deep and soothing ancient sweetness of flamenco.
LUNA has worked frequently with Albert Pla, Ojos de Brujo and Carle Benavent,
among others. In the Théatre National de Toulouse she has played for seven
years a leading role in Federico García Lorca’s Llanto por Ignacio Sánchez Mejías
and Romancero Gitano.

Her union with Mártires del Compás represents no doubt a firm resolution to
enjoy the most feminine and asserting aspects of flamenco, thereby stimulating
the creative evolution of the band.

Their long-standing experience has taken them to first-line stages like the
Montreux Jazz Festival, Midem in Cannes, LAMC in New York, Festival of Arezzo,
Festival Caliente de la Habana, Kennedy Center in Washington, El Lunario in
Mexico… and to countries like the USA, Mexico, Argentina, Cuba, Russia, Egypt,
Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and a long list of the most
prestigious concert halls and festivals of many Spanish cities.
