I'm suscribed to the newsletter reguraly sent by Beau Bledsoe about Salvador's work, and today I got this [:)] :

Vicente Amigo and Salvador Castillo

Vicente played a concert last week in Morelia, Michoacan. There he played the above pictured Flamenco negra guitar and declared the guitar's sound "very Flamenco and comforable to play".

Awwww! I so happy for him! I'm very glad that salvador is getting recognition now. The man is a hard worker and makes bitchin guitars. I will never sell mine =)

I wouldn't sell mine either. I'm simply in love with my blanca [:)]

Uh oh!...

I get the feeling coming on that a "Vicente" model is going to be available soon to join the Paco and Tomatito specials...

cheers,

Ron

Yep some stocks are going to go up a bit.
Try our new improved flamenca! As played by Vicente Amigo!

Hi gj,

I meant another "signed" guitar series on the market (regardless of actual maker.)

I didn't know that! So both are made by Carillo?

I wonder what he does differently in the construction of them to give each their unique sound?

So we have Paco guitars, Tomatito guitars, El Viejin CaƱo Roto guitars so far..

It's about time Vicente, M Sanlucar and Moraito had their own range too methinks.. [:D]

cheers,

Ron

Nice to meet the stars! But be careful, maybe he shows just professional behavior.
If somebody puts a guitar in his hands he will of course say that it is "very flamenco and comfortable to play"...because hes professional and polite. That allows no other option. What should he say if it would be a bad guitar? "oh.. the guitar you have made is....lower class.. nah..not good..". <-- Thats no option.
So.. it says not too much about Castillo guitars.. Be careful.

LOL, me too, I thought it was a Conde and it would have been more surprising because Vicente said that Madrid guitars are bulky and heavy :)

Castillo's guitars are kick ass. He deserves the exposure.
