Hola!

What kind adhesive (glue) they use on attaching tapping plates? Any idea?

Everyone I know of here in Granada uses selfadhessive tapplates. A. Green uses Epoxy.

I recently requested help from the http://www.mimf.com website on changing golpeadores. Got the link I think from something Jim opher had posted here. If you want to have a look it is in the repair bit. (you need to register but this is absolutly minimal)

The first thing was is the adhesive water based or not. My guitar is a Valeriano Bernal 1999 and to be honest I haven't a clue. I have written to VB to see if they can tell me.

Anyway it became clear it is not an easy job and despite the previous professional owner digging into the golpeador under the bass strings near the rosette I have decided to leave it be.

Just thought this might be interesting as clearly once fitted replacing them is not as easy as I thought it might be.

Thanx Anders & Nigel.

I've used self adhesive ones also, but I was just curious about it. =)

BTW great forum that MIMF...
