So you think that Don Manuel Reyes has a mail adress?

Spain is a bit different than many other places

are you trying to get on the waiting list for a guitar? Because if you are good luck i heard it was closed down due to the enormous size.

doublek -> RE: Manuel Reyes e-mail (Oct. 16 2010 18:50:33)

no body knows the Manuel Reyes mail??[>:]

Markus3 -> RE: Manuel Reyes e-mail (Oct. 16 2010 19:00:34)

I think if you contact GSI.com or Dan Zeff guitars on their website you might be able to get it there, or you could just go directly to Manuel Reyes website they should have a number there just like the conde hermanos have an email, phone etc. On second thought i am not to shure they have a website.

doublek -> RE: Manuel Reyes e-mail (Oct. 16 2010 19:03:37)

Manuel Reyes doesn't have a site and its not easy to have it from guitars seller. [8|]

Ramon Amira -> RE: Manuel Reyes e-mail (Oct. 17 2010 4:16:33)

I presume you're talking about Manuel Reyes Hijo. But it doesn't matter anyway. I think his list is closed, but even if it isn't I hope you're still young, because if you're not you will die of old age before your number comes up.

doublek,

Doit is just jokin' with you...

Look man, don't get your heart set too much on a label.

I think you're chasing a dream here. (I've done the same thing myself).

There are lots of great Flamenco guitars out there.

I really wanted an Arcangel Fernandez, but everytime I passed his shop in Madrid, it was closed, with the shutters rolled down.

One day I saw him opening up the shop and ran up to ask him what was going on.

He said he had a waiting list for the next 5 to 6 years and could not take on any more orders and that he used the shop as a workshop only and not a sales/order outlet as he had in the past. Hence he kept it closed.

Reyes is obviously in the same sort of position.

So a secondhand one would be the best way to go.

But if you are over enthusiastic that it MUST be a Reyes, then the seller is going to have the upper hand and will stick to his top asking price.

Tell me doublek, how many top end Flamenco guitars have you actually held in your hands and played?

If that's not a lot, then I think you might just be buying into a legend of your own making by listening to your favourite players.

I can guarantee a Reyes won't make you sound like Tomatito etc for sure.

Have a think about it and spend your money wisely would be my advice. [;)]

cheers,

Ron

Dear Ron,

First of all i would like to thank you Ron for your way of advice which reflects how respectful you are.

About the guitars i touched before yamahaa, cordoba,cuenca,Conde Hermanos 1957, Ramirez 1973 and curently my conde hermanos blanca 2007, i have just tried a Reyes (cajo) with a friend and it drive me crazy it is not a guitar it is a piano it is very harmonica guitar i wonder why Paco didn't choose to play with till now, and i am sure i am not going to be Vicente or tomate but you know as i am sure that you still have this inside you that guitars is our source of happiness and joy in life this is our (ME TIME fun) and i am sure that if you had the chance to buy your dream life guitar Archangel Fernandez you will do and you will own it one day, so i ve decided to End this hassle by having only just one guitar for life or two [8|][:)]
thank you also for the advice about spending my money wisely but as you know it s kind of investment not just fun and this is the positive side and due to recession there is a lot of people are selling guitars now so it s about time you find your dream guitar too. [;)]

i don't mean to misuse the situation but it is a double benefit.

Regards.
