It really makes me wonder where the world is going. It amazing to think of the work that has gone into making something like this. Im not really sure what to think beyond that. Leaves me with a strange feeling.

Classic video from 90s dance scene in UK ....gotta watch right to the end infact 3:55 is where the payoff begins! Aphex twin was also at the LED festival and were one of the highlights

Die antwoord is hip hop with a concept (eminem style) commenting on society in a creative way. maybe it hits the spot with some and misses by miles with others but so what. they are daring!they also gave thier first album away for free!!! cool? or stupid? The big car, the champagne, the gold chain?? And the ridiculous gansta_Scarface attitude? At least this Antwoord seems to have something to say (well maybe?). They have an original graphic imagination. I saw another clip and the girl looks more crazy than the ninja... if you want to be scared, look at this, i laughed so much [:-]

i think the butterfly part is heavily ripped off from this song... is this the same deformed guy? Images are resized automatically to a maximum width of 800px

I want your soul - come to daddy! [:D] Yes the payoff was at 3:55 with the scream... my god people dance to that though? I thought dancing to Laurie Anderson "O Superman" was weird, but this was weirder. The scream reminded me a bit of the scream in Tenacious D movie when the guys head explodes. A classic. Yes that DDR Butterfly is so similar! How in the world did you find that? But I think appropriating things from different artists in rap and electronic music to make something interesting is very common, just like Flamenco! And that progeria stuff, what a terrible disease. That Leon Botha guy featured in the video has done some interesting stuff though. Very interesting all around... I think die Antwoort are performance artists myself, and they are making calculated statments.

But I think appropriating things from different artists in rap and electronic music to make something interesting is very common, just like Flamenco! i remember it from when i was younger and i would go to the arcade and bust a move on the dance dance revolution machine to try to impress all the mad fly hunnies in there. it's alarmingly similar. i mean.. you've got ay ay ay, butterfly, and samurai all in the same song. what's the chance of that happening by coincidence? it's not different enough to be original, but it's not similar enough to be an obvious spin off of the ddr butterfly song, so it's plagiarism in my book. flamenco is inherently improvisational so the rules are a little different, imo. but anyways, still an interesting and entertaining video.
