How easy is it to record seperate audio and then put it together with the video? quote:
Don't bother trying to synch audio and video, unless you have a very good reason and I can't think of one. Orson, if you're asking about simultaneously recording with a camera and an audio recorder and subsequently synching the audio and video files, it's a relatively easy and worthwhile endeavor. The audio of some video cameras is of very poor quality, but if you have good video software you can easily substitute the audio for a separately recorded track. In the program that I use, audio and video appear onscreen as horizontal beams that can be dragged with the mouse. However, it would be more difficult to try to match audio and video of two different performances of the same piece of music. I may be wrong but I think that's what Escribano was referring to. In theory, though, I guess it could be done almost as easily if you used the same click track, palmas loop, etc.
