flybynight -> amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 15:22:12)

This is a nice amateur attempt.. no idea who it is. Snappy and groovy.

There's something about good players - real strength, control and confidence and 'ownership' of the space around the guitar, never mind the specific techniques.

Hope you like it as much as I did.

Florian -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 15:31:08)

Great stuff, flybynight!

I love "Party" sounding Bulerias more than "Cool/Moody" Bulerias myself!

Gets you movin' !

cheers,

Ron

Ole!

I agree, callng this a 'nice amateur attempt' doesn't do this player justice.

Arash -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 16:27:07)

that was so damn groovy!
what was that first arpeggio falseta?

Doitsujin -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 18:00:51)

Yes indeed very good!

XXX -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 18:11:04)

Superb playing!
Only the A7/G in the A major mode was not appropriate.

thinks its chicuelos!

EDIT:sorry its not actually the falseta i thought, still sounds like chicuelo tho

Doitsujin -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 18:21:57)

The first arpegio falseta is from P Habichuela.

The name of the bulerias where this arpegio is from is Boabdil. But its cut of at the half and it was added smth different.

orsonw -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 18:33:38)

Anthony, here's Pepe Habichuela

Go to this thread for intro arpeggio tabs-

Yes it's based on Pepe's Boabdil/Encuentro bulerías, up until 1:08.
[edit: oh I see Orson posted while I was writing - good one, the Valdepeñas Wine Cellar Session! [;)]]

The one in the last part, from 1:52 to the end is perhaps Diego del Gastor's 'greatest hit'. (Odd mixture...)
I don't recognize the one at 1:25 but it sounds familiar - maybe that's the 'Moraíto' bit, or Cepero?? Or??[8|]I'm sure somebody here knows it.

kozz -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 26 2010 18:54:54)

Es una guitarra de Valeriano Bernal. Y respecto a la pregunta de cuanto llevo tocando, pues mas o menos unos 10 años mas o menos.. Muchas gracias por tu comentario. Saludos

He's playing 10 years I suppose....

That melody sounds like a sevillanas Camaron sings in the beginning of this video. Maybe he got the idea from it or it could be that he took it from another guitarrist.

Neotriz -> RE: amateur bulerias (Sep. 27 2010 0:37:05)

That's some good Bulerias, Walter
