My cat just LOVES my Brune flamenco guitar, literally..

rombsix -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 8:25:15)

Again, with my eternal question: Why do ALL guitarists own/love cats?

This is one of the most AWESOME videos ever! [:D]

xirdneH_imiJ -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 11:02:32)

i'm in favor of dogs, i even have a bulerĂa on youtube where my dog sings while i'm trying to play! [:D]

They might be smarter and more loyal, but cats always keep you grounded. You never know when they'll decide to take a swing at you. And should you NOT feed them to their satisfaction for a day or two, they have absolutely no problem giving you the boot (even after years of having them) and moving on to the next guy with better food supplies. Now there's a great pet for ya. [:D]

i have two budgies that loves to sing along and poop everywhere.

the scratch marks will make your new guitar look very personal :)

at_leo_87 -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 13:20:59)

that's my old guitar with the superman lacquer.

but the new guitar already has scratches from my jacket. [:@]

I stopped wearing belts nine years ago (after I scratched my Hohner's back a couple of weeks after having started playing guitar for the first time). [:(]

xirdneH_imiJ -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 13:50:19)

i havent, it shows on the backside on my guitar...but its not that bad...

at_leo_87 -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 13:57:30)

i dont wear a belt but my jacket helps keep me warm and look stylish. [:D] i dont whether or not i should care about keeping my guitar in pristine condition. it's kind of a pain to have to baby it

Tell me about it... I have a really hard time giving my guitar to any visiting guitarist friend of mine to try it out for a couple of minutes because I'm afraid he/she will inadvertently scratch it or bump it into something. [8D] It also kills me when I see someone else totally not giving a crap about their guitar (practically carving into it or smashing it into furniture with no remorse whatsoever).

yeah, it's hard to find a slick, polite way to say no to friends. and it's a hassle to have to sit there and watch them with eagle eyes to make sure they don't do anything bad.

bumps and scratches from accidents are really lame and uncool. i think wear from normal use looks cool, like rasgueado and golpe marks. i dont know where scratches from buttons fit in though. carelessness or normal use?

Doitsujin -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 20:50:00)

Todd I hope you dont have this vaseline on the side of the guitar like paco used to have. [:D]

Nice cat! My dog always escaped when I grabed my guitar.. :./

HA! Good one! [:D]

And Anthony: Can't you take the jacket off when you play, and put it back on afterward? Or does it have soniquete stored inside it? [8D]

I actually have two, AND a dog... leftovers from my last relationship. I'm both a cat and dog person, but have to admit that I love cats. Of course my dog makes for great company for walks! Keeps me active.

Escribano -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 21:55:16)

Here are mine, arsing about as usual.

jg7238 -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 22:20:45)

Great video. I have 2 cats myself and a dog. I tend to be more on the cat side though.

ToddK -> RE: Pets (Sep. 19 2010 22:23:58)

Cheers, Todd. Ginna and I were admiring yours [:D] Ours is a Bengal, like a tabby puppy cat on steroids! He plays football, runs and fetches - and talks all the time.

rombsix -> RE: Pets (Sep. 20 2010 16:48:57)

Todd! You can hear the kitty purring as well! Talk about some great audio there! [8D]
