I was wondering what are your drills when practicing piccado?

Lately, I been finding out that I'm not improving much when it comes piccado, so I may need some new ideas or suggestions

Any major, minor, or melodic minor scale will do really.

Check out Rafael Cortes in this picado demo video.

Great demonstration of great economy and efficiency.
Practice speedbursts = Set your metronome at midrange, say 120bpm, and practice quarter notes, quarter note triplets, eighth notes, eighth notes triplets etc...
Start out playing mostly quarter notes, and bursting up to a few eighth notes, then back, mix them all up, etc etc.. Make sure you're always getting a good tone, with plenty of punch on every note.
Dont try to cheat, it wont work! hahah

Best of luck!
TK

Here is another run from PDL's Zyrab. I play it slow as well. Not really a difficult run to practice and fun too.

cool examples -- jg usual picado, brilliant.

and look at the repetoire your playing to and take examples - i.e if your playing panaderos flamencos , take out the scales and write them on another bit of paper (stops the temptation to play other sections ,

this way you are looking just at the scale runs , then practice with staccato, and various speeds with the metronome , make sure all examples are memorized.
