Emerald -> 1988 Benito Huipe Flamenco Guitar (Aug. 18 2010 17:37:43)

Hello, I have been a flamenco guitar enthusiast for many years. I have a question regarding a guitar left to me by my late father. The guitar is a Benito Huipe flamenco guitar manufactured or signed by Benito dated 9/16/88. There is a label inside reading Jerry Roberts Guitars of Nashville. I have emailed Mr. Roberts regarding the guitar, but have not received a reply yet. The guitar I am wondering if it was one that Benito manufactured while living in LA, where he first went in 1971. I know he returned to Mexico to the town where all the luthiers live Paracho de Verduzco, Michoacan in 1995, so most likely the guitar was made by him in LA. It is an incredible instrument with a magnificent sound and is in amazingly seemingly unplayed condition! It has the preferred violin peg tuners and the cedar wood is beautiful and most light and resonant. The action is incredibly low and I fitted a set of hard tension flamenco strings to it. I am including a Photobucket album of photos, so you can see it. I have read that Benito's guitars are considered world class in the Spanish construction tradition. Any idea of the value for insurance purposes or in case I might have to sell this instrument. Thanks in advance for your help and advice: http://s57.photobucket.com/albums/g219/davida54/Benito%20Huipe%20Guitar/ Thanks David
