ORIGINAL: Ron.M I appreciate what you're saying Deniz...but I suppose it's because I don't hear 12 beat cycle falsetas in anything (eg Solea..Alegrias..Bulerias..) as being "linear"... but splilt into groups of 6's...where (in it's simplest form) the first 6 "sets up" the phrase and the second six "finishes it off"...(or does so in multiples of 6). Just my way of seeing it I suppose.. No problem. You can see it as 3, 6, 12, whatever you want actually. What i was meaning is something different, namely, if you have ROWS instead of a CIRCLE, and when the "cursor" (lets call it that way) is at the end of the cycle (whether it be 3, 6, 12 beat cycle) then you have to JUMP to the first count (for the next cycle). In a circle there is just ONE way of motion, which is normally clockwise. Meaning, beats that immediately follow each other in time are also placed adjacent in vision. I understand though what you say about the finishing off part of the second six group.
