I cant help myself..but that guitar sounds ugly. Just imagine the same composition with a good flamenco guitar played by a good flamenco. Would be 200% nicer and maybe even cool.

You may find this interesting. This is a 1955 Fleta on which Ignacio replaced the Spruce top with a Cedar top in 1971. The thinning to which you refer on the instrument you examined may have looked like this. It is not the best photo, but the thinning at the bridge plate and around the plate is obvious and was done after the guitar was constructed. Was the Fleta You examined a cedar top or Spruce top? What year?

so, my understanding from what everyone has said, the heel shape of the spanish foot does not matter. and from what people have said about fletas, constructing a guitar with the traditional spanish foot method or with a dovetail method would not matter if done properly.
