Had to share catching a sunbeam in the kitchen today. Kind of relaxes me.

That is pretty cool. Is it difficult to capture an image like this? I don't recall seeing anything like this before.

It could also be a light probe from a flying saucer trying to beam you up to carry out experiments. [:-]

Did you get the lenses you were after, if so what do think of them?

I sticking with my cheap options for the moment. A used Sigma 17-70mm, which I love for everything else and the Canon 1.8 50mm for low light. It's plasticky but great value and very sharp.

Yeah the Nikon is the same. I think of it more as a high end disposable lens.[;)]
