keith -> Bellido/Alhambra for sale (May 30 2010 4:55:31)

Let me be up front from the beginning on this guitar. Although it has a Bellido label and stamp it is not a Bellido 1A guitar. The guitar appears to have been made by Alhambra and sold as a Bellido through his shop. That said, the guitar has all soid woods and the cypress has a wonderful aroma. The tuners are new with ebony buttons. The action for the low E string is around 6mm off the bone saddle and about 2.8 at the 12th fret. The guitar is in excellent condition and has a great flamenco sound.

I am selling the guitar due to being unemployed, looking at the prospect of relocating to another state and having to do some couch-surfing for a while. I am asking $800 or best offer which includes a SKB hardshell case and shipping to the lower 48 states. Send me an e-mail if interested.

i tried to get more photos in but was not allowed. I can send more upon request.

pablito--no, that is not the guitar as that guitar is made with sycamore and the one i have for sale is solid cypress--it smells like european cypress. i suspect the guitar is, at minimum, the 7fc (cypress) and possibly the 10f. since it has the bellido label and stamp it is difficult to know for sure. i am selling it as if it were the 7fc--at least price wise. i did not want to present it as a bellido 1a since it is not--it is, for a lack of a better term, a bellido estudio. it could well have been made by bellido but the headstock is definitely alhambra. this is probably the guitar as the headstock and rosette match.

i forgot to add, but the scale on this guitar is 656 and not 650--not that it matters that much but there are some things about this guitar that do not seem to be "stock" alhambra. it is a little lighter than the flamenco alhambra i tried once and the tone is brighter and raspier (could be a function of the stock alhambra action and the action i am using).
