Hello everyone...

I have a blanca which costs 3.000 euros. I want to ask about the secret how cypress wood sounds better when the guitar's getting "old". Thanks [:)]

Hi gounaro

There is no secret about the tone of your guitar. Cypress behavours similar to spruce when it ages. Resins in the wood are hardening over the years due to oxidation of the resin. That makes the wood more resonant pecause hardened resin has a lower damping factor as it is the case with liquid resin. That's quite simple and that's allmost all about the "secret". There is only one more thing to consider. Aged wood will not improve a poor quality guitar but it will improve a well built guitar.

regards

Armando
