Actually, the "instructional" part of the book as well as the authors personal tips on technique and such are written in Spanish, French and English and are identical in all three of this series volumes - the only thing which differs is the Index.
Volume II is a very fine book and is one step further, more advanced than Volume I; the pieces are somewhat longer and more elaborated.
Personally I could recommend one goes through all three of them simply because they are, in my understanding, conceptualized and designed in an thoroughly progressive manner in regard to styles, tempi and level of complexity. And in my own case would require an eternity to master - Volume three is a "monster"!
A lot of thought, knowledge of the guitar and musical wisdom went into these three books. These qualifications, I believe are valid for all the books that I've seen from this particular publisher.
I could particularily recommend the Juan Lorenzo book called "200 exercises" It covers all aspects of technique and plants "seeds" for true personal growth and insights.
Enough! No more endorsing; but these are all great books some of which I would have loved to have been acquainted with twenty years ago.
