There are two members, Don Soledad and Jim Opfer who, over the years, have displayed an enviably balanced collection of the most desirable flamenco guitars, form Reyes to Gerundino, Conde Hermanos to Barba, DeVoe to Stephen Hills. I am pleased to see that our Stephen Faulk is now a name on such attractive carousel.
Here is Don skillfully showing off the purity and clarity of this well balanced Faulk’s Blanca (the specimen now known as the “Butterfly”, I believe, on account of such nightly symbols on the Rosette).
[note… Stephen is really high –and mean really high- on my book after “magically” reworking my latest German Vazquez Rubio form unplayable into the most comfortable instrument I ever had. So yes, I am quite partial to his work and on his waiting list (!)]
