This was n't as good as I expected, being mostly old clips strung together. They did , however , have Paco Pena with the interesting snippet of information that he gave guitar lessons to Tony Blair. Manitas de Plata is on tonight.

PPPffff... You know what. I always questioned myself something when I saw "news" in TV about things I know good about i.e. here flamenco or some fields of science. In general they seem not to be very well informed or experienced in about what they broadcast or they simply show wrong things.

The question I always ask myself when seeing they are presenting **** again is: When I know that they show crappy false things in fields I know about, what is the quality of their news in other fields which I don´t know so much about? I ask myself the same about the news in newspapers.

Answer: The news (TV and paper) is produced by a bunch of idiots who don´t know anything but preparing coffee at work I guess.

Question: Is Manitas de Plata is a perfect example for a "Guitar Hero"?
Answer: WRONG

You couldn't be more wrong.

They need PAs and interns to make the coffee.

Try coming from a social sciences background with some training in research methods and statistics and then looking at how the media reports on interesting journal articles and research findings.
They never report on methods and they seem to not understand that "significant" findings only need to have a predictive value of 5%, when for something to be predictively useful, it needs far better than 50%...

Honestly, his nickname should be changed to Manitas de Plomo.

A Cuban friend told me that they called him Manitas de Platanos.
