I will post some videos here on Friday the 23rd April 2010. I am supposed to play somewhere tomorrow, and I need to get together with the other musician and practice... right now. And there are some things I need to do with women.

Thats what he said.
Well he should at least have posting rights on Friday.

I really did not take it "in the good natured jesting manner in which it was intended", but now that you explained it, my claim is moot, superseded and replaced by your (initially misunderstood) good sense of humor.

Ron is right (and so is Norman) -and I will raise the post- you are a fine "dude" and I was overreacting by not giving you the benefit of the doubt.

Hugs and kisses and ... well let's not get carried away now [:D][:D][:D]

By the way, I'm the guy that cracks jokes at a funeral. I can't help but react to just about every situation, no wonder how wonderful or awful it might be, with wise cracks, lame puns, and stale one-liners. Anything I say should be read with that in mind and not taken too seriously....

srshea -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 21 2010 13:48:21)

I also hate using "smileys", even though they can be really useful in conveying certain tonal and contextual nuances that often slip through the cracks in on-line communication. I just really like to believe that I'm so darned clever that all my jokes are gonna go over like gangbusters. How could they not, given how brilliant I am?! (See, I can't stop!)

Rain -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 21 2010 13:56:27)

I'm looking forward to this thread coming to an end, it's getting ridiculous and the mob rules mentality is just childish.

srshea -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 21 2010 14:01:35)

....aaaaaand I often forget that different languages employ different vowel sounds, so funny phonetic perversions of words don't always survive translation.....

I hate to say this but this has been quite entertaining...

Dude is only 15.

Dude will realize how badlly he's embarrasing himself
in about 3 to 5 years.

At that point, dude may very well be quite helpful.[:)]

Later dude.

Argaith -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 22 2010 0:50:57)

First the “Professor” and now the “Dude”!

The best thing to do is just to ignore them; they’ll go away and find a different audience for their egos.
They may be able to play well (not in the Dude’s case!), but they’ll never become an artist!

yohan -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 22 2010 5:19:18)

I think he's 24 but acts like 15...

Ailsa -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 22 2010 5:37:20)

Wow I just don't know what to say and that's rare for me!

Evan has decided to share his story and what he has learnt with the world, but I'm not sure the world is ready.....

gj Michelob -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 22 2010 7:38:46)

Already issuing “looking back at my life” type interviews. Perhaps one reality show too many may have compromised his views. This is the kind of monologue one could entertain from Paco de Lucia (in fact we have a wonderful one he shares in Lights and Shades), but from a little kid, it is –to say the least- premature or –more suitably- “immature”.

Yet this is the new generation with the "I am it” at 18, kind of momento.

This video settles and explains Evan quite conclusively.

As Todd wisely remarked, he will be quite embarrassed by these manifestations in a few years. We all have our share of it, one way or the other, haven't we?

Let him back in guys, he's just a mouthy kid. Granted , he does need a good punch in the mouth, but after that I'm sure he might cool down and have some handy tabs and tuition he can treat us to.

Besides, it's Friday tomorrow.[:D]

Did I miss something ? Young American buys a teach yourself flamenco guitar book and decides to go to Spain to experience the real thing and stays longer than he originally thought. I was at least hoping for Jason Webster type plot, running with the Gitanos, stealing cars, meeting Paco pissing behind a tree [8D]

Let him back in guys,

Has he been barred ? oh shame we have suffered much worse abuse than this. He will miss us when he is back in New Hampshire far from flamenco life. I do think he would have ended up appreciating the talent, the humour and the support that this forum offers and yes he had a lot to offer too if he could just mellow out a bit.

n85ae -> RE: @ GuitarristaMadrid (Apr. 22 2010 8:07:54)

I agree with the everybody's young and dumb some time idea. He'll feel
stupid in time, probably now that Todd has uncovered who he is, he probably
feel's a bit sheepish.

I don't think so has he? He wasn't that offensive, just needed to calm down a bit.

I have plenty of those, but I am saving them for my memoirs - when I am like a really, really old dude. [8|]

I didn't ban him. Maybe he got laid?

my guess is he doesn't have time right now, he is preparing the videos for friday

He did say "there are some things I need to do with women." Most likely this meant boring them to death talking about the hardcore scale practice he used to do in the good old days, and showing them his 'graduation' certificate.

Oh yes, that's right - he said there would be "a ****load" - maybe we'll find out what that means tomorrow. The ****load. Of videos. Tomorrow.
