Hi guys,
This is how I practice arpeggios these days. Entri taught me 15 distinct right hand patterns to use with his 3 chord groups. In this set, I have included the first 3 of those patterns, along with their inversions, which I feel is very important to balance strength throughout the hand. That accounts for the first six. The latter two are basic arpeggios to practice using the pinky - I feel this is the next evolution of guitar playing in general, use of the pinky for flexion. Entri was pretty psyched when I showed him this, but he said it should be for advanced players only.

The idea is to memorize the 3 chord groups (uploaded in the tab subforum), and then use them to practice these patterns. It helps to keep the exercise somewhat interesting, and the chords in the groups are pretty useful.

I think these eight exercises would be an excellent basis for someone who wants to study arpeggio technique in a more complete way.

I'll make a video demonstrating these and going into deeper depth on this topic when I have some more time.

-E

thanks man,
much appreciated! This is what I needed to get a new phase to my routines. I have been doing quite similar chord patterns and arpeggios but these are just slightly different to give that new motivation.

Hell yeah.... here is a cool trick: take a piece you are trying to learn. Extract a bunch of chords from it. String them together and practice the arpeggios with those. Now you are practicing arpeggios, and memorizing the chords at the same time.
