tropicboy1983 -> Looking for a good negra... (Apr. 13 2010 23:49:34)

Hello everyone,

I am looking for a good big sounding negra.
I pretty much have my mind set on the following options:
- Pedro de Miguel (the 27F or I might even be able to stretch my budget to a primera)
- Salvador Castillo
- Hermanos Sanchis Lopez (or Ricardo Sanchis Carpio)
- Carillo Paco de Lucia negra

Please get in touch with me if you have one of those guitars for sale.
Thank you.
Saludos.

I would highly recommend the Vicente Carrillo Paco de Lucia model, should you have the opportunity to obtain one. Although it is not for sale, in 2008 I had Vicente Carrillo build me a 1a Paco de Lucia Negra to my specifications (650 mm scale, Madagascar Rosewood back and sides). It is a beautiful guitar with a great sound.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi Bill,

I actually got in touch with Carillo. A new PdL negra with Indian Rosewood + my specs is EUR 3800 which is over my budget, otherwise I would have seriously considered it.
Saludos.

I have a Casa Montalvo Hauser select Negra (cocobolo) which Im thinking of selling. It is in immaculate condition as I hardly play it ... hangs on the wall looking pretty. It is the full french polish version in original hardcase. It was selected for a student in USA by Jason Maguire (check him on you tube he plays one) I bought it on ebay and my teacher Phillip John Lee thought it was stunning!

Check out the Montalvo website they retail at about $2000+ . I'm in the UK and want around £850 which just covers what I paid with import duty and VAT.

If anyone is interested email me and ill send photos marc55@bigfoot.com
