It is not the exact copy of which Tom has built 4, but it is very much based on the Reyes design with Tom's own input with the goal of him making his best flamenco. Following is what Tom wrote on his website about this particular guitar. "Due in 2007 will be a flamenco guitar that is an accumulation of nearly 50 years of working knowledge" Many guitarists know me as one of the world's most dedicated copyists of the Spanish masters. Building in this tradition has been a life-long process and I have learned from many guitars of notoriety. Classical and flamenco guitars have been my only musical pursuit. Much time has been spent trying to build a more refined voice. My main desire has been toward the Madrid and Cordoba schools of sound and how to find a way to marry the two. Although there is a defined line between the two schools, there are similarities when combined that move the guitar to a higher level of performance. I'm now able to produce it with consistency. There won't be any price increase for these new models with spruce top and cypress sides and back.. However, there will be a slight increase for any special order woods. The guitars will have a 655 mm playing scale, with 53-54 mm nut width. The bridge string width will be the current Spanish scale.
