My thoughts exactly. The whole "Faustino thing" seems to be strange. I have always wondered the same, whether it was a Faustino or Mariano or a contracted builder's guitar. The signatures vary form label to label on primera Condes. Which signature is whose? Or does it matter? Either it is a great Conde or a not so great Conde. The only way to tell is to play it. Just because it was made before Faustino's death doesn't make it automatically great. I have tried a few that are very mediocre. Have also tried some green and white label Condes from the 80's and earlier that were great as well as some primera Condes from the 90's that were great. Again, the only way to tell is to play it and every guitar may suit a person differently than another. Oftne it's a very personal thing. Don't want to detract from this seller's guitar and it may be great- need to try it out before you buy it. I have seen it before for sale and it has an unsigned label- what does that mean...?
